Our doctor
Tegan A. Thimesch, DPM
Dr. Thimesch utilizes the latest, most advanced techniques for correcting bunions, like the Swiss Compression Technique. This new technique in bunion correction, developed in Switzerland, involves cutting the protruding bone, then realigning it using a small, stainless steel screw. The screw remains imbedded in the bone much like a filling in a tooth. This procedure is less inhibiting than the former use of pins and wires and it can be comfortably performed in our new, state-of-the-art, foot and ankle center under local anesthesia, or with intravenous sedatives administered by trained anesthesia personnel.
